The project aimed at improving the local and regional capacity to apply the process of implementing waste management that catalyse the execution of the EU Directives and supports the region to climb in the waste hierarchy.

Project results:
The most important outputs are Joint baltic sea Region Strategy for Municipal Waste Management, and Baltic Waste Investment Concept. Their development was based on analysis of waste management in the BSR, conducting pilot projects, developing WAMPS software (waste management planning based on LCA), etc.
