These studies merge three different fields: environmental engineering, manufacturing engineering and business. It is a combination of interdisciplinary knowledge and skills for future leaders and innovators with an engineering foundation. Here you will gain an understanding of applied engineering and systems analysis, a unique ability to systematically assess the consequences of decisions. You will use your knowledge in international or national companies or organizations, solve significant problems, manage risks and be a leader in sustainable development.

The mission of this PhD study programme is to shape the principles and methods of sustainable engineering that would promote positive social and economic development and reduce environmental impact. The programme is conducted in cooperation with the Department of Environmental Technology of the Faculty of Chemical Technology at KTU, Vytautas Magnus University, and Lithuanian Energy Institute. A double degree – of KTU and the University of Bologna (Italy) – might be acquired.
