Šių metų rugsėjo 7–8 dienomis Kauno technologijos universiteto tyrėjai bei mokslo atstovas iš Lietuvos energetikos instituto dalyvavo LOCARBO projekto partnerių susitikime, Rumunijoje (Alba Iulia). Tai jau 4-iasis projekto valdymo grupės ir tematinių darbo grupių susitikimas. Susitikime dalyvavo projekto partneriai iš Vengrijos, Italijos, Lietuvos, Portugalijos, Rumunijos ir Jungtinės Karalystės.

Rugsėjo pradžioje Bankoke, Tailando prekybos rūmų universitete vyko Europos mokslininkų, dirbančių medicinos technologijų srityje, susitikimas su šio universiteto dėstytojais ir studentais. Jame dalyvavo ir KTU mokslininkas prof. Renaldas Raišutis, dirbantis INTERREG EUROPE projekte ELISE (European LIfe Science Ecosystems, liet. Europos gyvybės mokslų ekosistemos), už kurio įgyvendinimą atsakingas Kauno technologijos universitetas. Šio projekto pagrindu ir organizuotas susitikimas.
